Jas 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
God is good and does.not test as we know better from new testament.(In Him is no darkness)… but the prophets of old did write many even controvential things like God would take or kill or make darkness or God sents evil spirit and David his singing can cast the from God sent spirit out.. :-/ (people are jokers). (the old prophets did not had the spirit of Christ as we have it now and Jesus flashed God out and what the prophets thought God is. (our problem with God commes through a missunderstanding of the old Testament, but Jesus said no one has ever seen God before He said it.. so most of the things what the prophets of old thought “it was God” was often devil or an angel. (by reading old testament there was also Jesus.. not much but there was also Jesus. (Samuel occupied 6 books by saying nothing.. so did the other prophets, but Paul took Jesus out of the old).
